The Ridge House is truly a gorgeous farm stay. There’s a real soul and charm to this place. The home has been recently renovated to provide all the modern comforts one would expect, whilst retaining the home’s wonderful features, including the exposed timber ceilings.
Set in a magical part of Gippsland, the home provides the perfect setting for reconnecting with friends or family. Our favourite spot is the viewing deck where you can sit perched high on the ridge looking out over the valley towards Mt Baw Baw. Enjoy the gum scented air, birds singing and gorgeous sunsets.
Ridge House was the base for Kristy and the family whilst they developed their residence on the adjacent farming block. It has been lovingly renovated to their high standards and now it’s available to guests.
The hosts have done their utmost to create a relaxed and private environment and it doesn’t disappoint. Careful thought has gone into ensuring all amenities have been considered. When talking to Kristy, we asked her about her approach to hospitality, to which she pleasantly replied, “it’s about thinking what would I like, what would make me most comfortable. I treat the guest experience very much like how I would like to feel in a space – we want the guest to feel relaxed and importantly, at home.”
Spend relaxed days resting around the home or in the garden. Enjoy afternoons exploring the land. You may even find an item or two in the farm’s market garden for the evening’s meal.
The host’s hospitality extends to the thoughtful provisions – a generous breakfast provision is provided for the first day, consisting of lovely local produce and ensures you’re not running to the shops in the morning.
