The Bungalow Cape Paterson is a 3 bedroom architecturally designed, sustainable home. It occupies a small footprint of only 120 sqm, but packs a punch with a light and airy environment, double height living room, considered spaces and enough room for the whole gang to come together.
Host and owner Reece, always wanted a country home close to his old hometown of Leongatha. The Bungalow is his take on a weekender designed to provide space to decompress from the hustle and bustle of city life. It has been built with sustainability in mind – from sustainably sourced timber to the utilisation of passive design principles. This also means from a guest perspective the space is comfortable, warm and natural. The aesthetic is paired back, Scandinavian minimalism – with a clear focus on considered and functional spaces.
The home is located within The Cape – a sustainable development project that combines modern architecture, clean energy and community spirit, set along an extraordinary stretch of Victorian coastline. The eco village is peri-urban, close to farmland and Cape Paterson Coastal Reserve but provides easy access to all the urban amenities you need.
Situated only 700m from the coast, the home is perfect for lazy days at the beach. Enjoy both calm rock pools and the swell of the surf coast. In the summer months the beach is patrolled – so it’s great for families. However, just keep in mind the Bass Coast can get strong rips and currents.
Looking to venture out? Spend a relaxed afternoon or two at the Cape Tavern. The venue is also great for live music.
If you’re looking for a relaxed beach escape, away from the hustle and bustle of the busy coastal hotspots, then I think we’ve found just the perfect pad. Modern, light and bright and with a focus on all the amenities you need for a relaxed escape with friends and family.
