In 2017 Bec and Angus discovered 150-acres in Molyullah – located on the foothills of the Victorian Alps and only 30 minutes from the King Valley wine region. What started off as a weekend escape quickly turned into an opportunity to make a permanent move. Shortly after the couple set about renovating The Cottage At Dunmore Farm – A charming three bedroom home. The Origins Guide Meets owner and host Bec Macdougall.
Andrew Beer, host and owner of the French Cottage Beechworth loves to collect antiques. Finding and collecting items with a story is a passion of his. When the opportunity to purchase a piece of history came up – it was an easy decision to become the custodian of this charming 1850’s cottage and former staging inn.
The Kilnhouses are three architectural homes located on a 15 acre cattle stud and boutique winery in Porepunkah. The homes pay homage to the Ovens Valley and its Italian Migrant tobacco-growing history. Designed by Sally Draper and styled by Russell Grainger they provide a unique opportunity to experience Victoria’s High Country.
As the saying goes, there’s a little bit of truth to every joke. Though who had the last laugh? We’d put our money on Courtney and Hamish, owners and hosts at Sky High Mount Franklin – a gorgeous 4 bedroom country home set atop a spectacular ridge in Victoria’s spa country.
After 15 years living overseas, Richard Taylor set his sights on returning to Australia to bring to life a dream he had as an 18 year old. The result, Beekeepers – Cape Liptrap, a sustainable 640 acre coastal retreat on Victoria’s southern coastline.
Vickie and Ed met during a chance encounter hiking Mount Rinjani on the island of Lombok some 20 years ago. Vickie from the UK and Ed from The Netherlands chose to settle in Australia. With a spirit for adventure and passion for hospitality the couple made a move to the High Country and embarked on building this beautiful home.

A self-confessed city girl, Rebecca decided in 2015 to make the move with her partner Damien to his old hometown of Torquay. The move led them to building a modern Scandinavian inspired timber beach house.
