This secluded bolt hole in Canggu offers an authentic space for you and friends or family to relax and unwind at for a few days.
Set amongst lush gardens in a quiet corner of Canggu, here you’ll find the space to disconnect and embrace the slow life.
Built in the style that is evocative of traditional Balinese villages, the residence is a series of pavilions where timber is used extensively to create warm and textural spaces.
Classic colonial elements such as white walls and polished stone floors complete these inviting tropical spaces.
an authentic and secluded bolt hole where you can relax and unwinD
Definitely my favourite room – the dining pavilion where you feel like you’re sitting in a rainforest
Sit down, relax and chat with friends
The Danish owner has an eye for detail. The home displays a wonderful set of cultural artefacts. Pictured above is the media room which provides a cosy respite from the tropical setting.
Each pavilion offers a different perspective on the greenery that surrounds you outside. While the main living pavilion is spacious and a great spot to socialise, our favourite is from the dining room with its full-height windows on three sides which can be thrown open to merge the indoors with the lush surroundings outdoors. This space is best enjoyed when the residences private chef has prepared you wonderful dinner, of course.
Down the road you'll find the charming village of Pererenan
At the bottom of the garden, you’ll find the magic. There are sun-loungers next a free-form swimming pool, all set to a back drop of lush tropical gardens and a flowing stream below. It’s a great spot for morning yoga, and there’s even a spacious balé where you can enjoy an afternoon massage.
You’ll be surprised to learn that this villa is actually pretty close to all the action. Down the road you’ll find the charming village of Pererenan where traditional Balinese life is strong and well.
Ten minutes by car or five minutes by scooter – not an activity endorsed by The Origins without the right license and insurance, of course – you’ll be in the midst of the burgeoning food scene in Canggu.
