Red Hill Accommodation, Victoria
Looking for Red Hill accommodation? We profile two wonderful homes
Often over-looked for the populated Mornington Peninsula coastal towns, Red Hill is a welcomed escape from the hustle and bustle. Criss cross the hillsides of this lovely rural setting and you’ll discover an amazing variety of vineyards, restaurants, food stores and artisans perfecting their craft.
The town is home to a number of notable wineries. Visit Gourmet traveller for a nice run-down though I’d highly recommend a visit to Ten Minutes by Tractor and Pt. Leo Estate. Whilst discovering the delights of Red Hill I’d also recommend a stop at Green Olive for a farm-to-plate experience in a lovely setting and then top it off with a local brew at Red Hill Brewery.
When looking for luxury accommodation in Red Hill have a look at these two wonderful homes. One is a beautiful historic estate with lovely gardens and the second home is a chic mid-century modern holiday home.

“Along a country road in the middle of lush hinterland lies a country house with Red Hill history. Mr. and Mrs. Jarman visited Red Hill in the early 1900s from Devon, England to find land to plant an apple orchard. They found rich soil in Red Hill and planted their orchards and built their family home in 1921. The home was named Devonia and was the central part of the original Devon Farm estate, the largest apple orchard on the Mornington Peninsula which spread along Mornington Flinders Road from Noels Gallery to Ten Minutes by Tractor. These restaurants were once homes to their children.”
“Today, the home is called Cloudland and retains its original Craftsman style architecture and established gardens and has also been lovingly renovated over the years. The tractor shed has been converted to a games room, the horse stable is now a cottage and the gardens now include a swimming pool, cubby house/playground, farm paddocks, vegetable garden, rose arbor with rural views and more.”
“Stay at Cloudland and indulge in rural life to create your own memories with good company, fresh food and fine wine.” – Cloudland

“This sprawling ranch-style home is set among four hectares of lake-fed pastures, orchards and landscaped grounds. A group of up to fifteen can be comfortably accommodated, with five bedrooms, including the master suite and guest suite, a large family bathroom and extra toilet. Impeccably designed, the three separate living areas include the grand hall (also with open fire), an informal family room, and a snug little library for moments of privacy.”
“The hub of the home is the designer kitchen and dining area with open fire. There are also cooking facilities on the terrace, which steps down to a sunken lounge and fire pit.”
“Winifred’s luxurious appeal is further exemplified by the vanishing-edge swimming pool, perfectly situated to overlook the estate, with views to the ocean and horizon beyond. What better place could there be to ponder and plan your day trips to sample all the temptations of Red Hill.” – Winifred by Kinsfolk
