Seminyak, Bali
6 BEDROOMS | 6 BATHROOMS
The 6 Bedroom Villa is located in a quiet gated community in Seminyak. This is one Grand Dame of a Home.
Beautiful colonial bedroom – splash of colour compliments the decor
I didn’t realise Seminyak had gated communities however much to my surprise, here we are. It’s a great location – close to two of my favourite Indonesian restaurants (Merah Putih and Bambu). We arrived at the villa, unsure what to expect behind the big gates.
From the moment you arrive, the grand six bedroom colonial estate in Seminyak immediately transports you to another era
Entering the villa we were greeted by this grand dame
Upon opening the gates we entered an inner courtyard with a delicately designed water feature. If the Sarkies Brothers designed villas in addition to Raffles Singapore then I believe they would feel right at home. What greets us is a double-story pure-white home with rich brown timber balustrade balconies, an oversized gabled roof and large columns.

Plenty of space to lounge poolside – these outdoor pavilions make for a great space to relax with friends and family
The 6 bedroom Seminyak villa is expansive. The main section of the home is a two-story dwelling which houses 4 bedrooms and formal living spaces. The pool house features two further bedrooms. In addition, the home features a semi-formal poolside living pavilion. It’s obvious the Australian owners have spent a significant amount of time, passion and resources to create this beautiful home.

The 6 bedrooms respect the overarching colonial style – four poster beds, travel trunks and colonial lounge chairs. Each of the bedrooms show an expression of individuality with custom colour palettes. The commitment to form is further expressed in the bathrooms with bespoke stain-glassed windows, which soften the bright Bali sunshine. These rooms reflect a real labour of love. What a treat to experience such a home.

Colonial style throughout all of the six bedrooms
What impressed me about this home is that it’s managed to find a great balance between design and function. The upstairs living room for example is beautiful yet practical – a comfortable couch, large TV and access to an oversized balcony overlooking the pool. Though the pièce de résistance is the wonderful poolside living pavilion. A vaulted timber ceiling canopies vibrant art, a set of colourfully upholstered sofas, a gorgeous 12 seat dining table with a stained-glass pendant light and a beautiful bar.

Seeing homes like this always reminds me of the beauty of being able to rent unique homes. It’s so much more than just a place to stay for the evening – it’s experiencing a lifestyle and one-off design. We absolutely love it and I know you will too.
