Shack 14 is an architect designed eco retreat on 10 acres of peaceful bushland in the Central Victorian goldfields town of Chewton. Designed by architect Ken Latona the tent like structure provides a wonderful connection to the bushland.
Ken Latona has forged a path in the development of sustainable design and architecture that is sympathetic to the land. In 2018, one of Ken’s most prominent designs, The Friendly Beaches Lodge, won first place for enduring architecture at the Tasmanian Architecture Awards.
What we love about Shack 14 is that it’s in keeping with Ken’s principles of allowing visitors to engage directly with the bush. The tent like structure of Shack 14 immerses you within the natural environment in all its glory.
