striking contrasts between the historic wooden villa and sleek modern additions will captivate you
Long days by the pool, catching up with old friends, or quality time with family
The rooftop terrace is a perfect spot for sunset drinks a lazy bbq
Green velvet, dark timber, and whites. We were told that the owner is an architect and it shows
Tucked away from the noise of Batu Belig, designer luxury meets colonial grandeur at this five bedroom villa on the boundary of Seminyak and Canggu. From the moment you arrive, the striking contrast in styles between the historic wooden villa – from the year 1880 – and the sleek modern additions will captivate you.
A shallow and shaded pool section is perfect for younger guests at this villa where designer luxury meets colonial grandeur
We really like the minimalist open-sided living and dining area. Created in a classic mid-century style with strong lines and bright coloured soft furnishings you get a sense of fun as you arrive.Â
With plenty of room for lounging and views over the swimming pool, this space will be the centre for all things social during your stay at the villa. At one end of the pool there’s a shallow section for smaller guests and a table tennis table to keep older guests entertained. Â
There’s also a colourful and spacious indoor living room which is a great space to retreat to in the heat of the day or for some quiet time.
True to the mantra of designer luxury meeting colonial grandeur, this room redefines attic living from dark and dusty into chic and comfortable
We couldn’t help but smile when we saw these cool bunks. Younger family members will too
When it gets too hot out, or you need some quiet time, the colourful media lounge is the place to go
These three bedrooms are just absolutely gorgeous – the renovation provides a modern take on a 19th century home. The vibrant shutters, rattern textures, mid-century modern furnishings and colour palette come together so well
A key feature of this villa is the five large bedrooms which feature all the amenities that you’d expect in a five-star hotel room. Plush sheets and sumptuous beds are sure to make for a good nights sleep for everyone.Â
There’s even a bunk-room with space for eight children. Walking in, we couldn’t help but smile when we saw paper-mâché animals on the wall.Â
Tucked away at the back of the villa is one of our favourite spa’s we’ve seen in a private villa. This sanctuary space has two massage tables, a spacious sunken bath tub with views onto a tropical garden space. I could definitely fall asleep during a massage here.

Just ten minutes walk away is Batu Belig beach. If you’re an early riser, embrace the new day while everyone still slumbers and enjoy early morning surf or a walk along the beach. If early mornings are not your thing, then you can catch one of Bali’s stunning sunsets from the spacious rooftop terrace.
Rates are from USD 398++ per night for 6 guests. Up to 8 adults and 8 children can stay.Â
