Step inside this modernist dreamboat. The 5 bedroom Canggu Villa packs an abundance of living space. The home is perfect for the most demanding family or a group of friends looking to entertain without the thought of having to leave. The crown jewel though is the wonderful open-air living pavilion with a spacious dining area, sunken lounge and bar overlooking the 21m pool.

Canggu, Bali

5 BEDROOMS | 5 BATHROOMS

A sexy and chic, yet practical five bedroom villa in Canggu

The early evening light reflecting from the second floor bedroom windows. Enjoy this magic hour from the terrace lounge or private jacuzzi

Researching this home I was wondering if the photos would live up to the reality – boy were we impressed! This modern five bedroom villa in Canggu did not disappoint. Located in a quieter part of Canggu, it provides an element of escapism but is close enough to trendy Canggu to ensure you don’t miss out – the popular beach club The Lawn is a 10-15 minute drive.

This home is a beautiful example of modern five bedroom Canggu villa

Arrive through the oversized double wooden door entrance

Upon entering we were greeted by a pebble-stone pond and chic spiral staircase

Entering, we were greeted by two large wooden doors – we flung these open with excitement. We were greeted by an internal courtyard with a pebble-stone pond and sexy, white circular staircase which sets the tone for this modernist villa. The property is set amongst lush rice paddies, palms and banana trees. Built on a sloping block the home occupies three main levels. A two-story main building housing 2 bedrooms, terrace deck and jacuzzi, media room and outdoor living pavilion. At the end of the slopping block is a bedroom pavilion and living area.

Open-air living pavilion overlooking the 21m pool

No fighting for a sun lounger here

The open-air living pavilion is by far the crown jewel of the place. We could spend many days relaxing here poolside - without a care in the world

We could instantly see ourselves relaxing here. Our cares and worries dissolve, and we ask ourselves if we must leave. This home oozes a feeling of modernity and we loved it. The crown jewel of this home is the open-air living pavilion and dining area. The sunken lounge is a perfect spot for a relaxing afternoon, the dining space is a fabulous spot for socialising or spending time with loved ones over a shared meal. Take note this place also has a pizza oven. Heaven. The living pavilion gazes out over the 21m pool and lush rice paddies. Though when you’re ready to entertain the fancy HiFi system should do the job or press a button and a web integrated TV rises from a concealed space.

The bedrooms are spacious and well appointed - the wood paneling provides and element of warmth

The bedrooms are well appointed with large comfortable beds. The off-white walls are complemented by warm wood panelling and pale stone floors. Muted rugs add an element of warmth and comfort. The bathrooms are lovely and spacious all with bathtubs. Though the master bedroom has the extra treat with a terrace jacuzzi – a wonderful spot to enjoy a quintessential Bali sunset.

The bedroom pavilion at the bottom of the property houses a versatile outdoor living space – for families this is a great kids play room. Now you just need to find the nanny service or in our case call in the dotting uncles.
