The inspiration behind the bungalow was to create a little space that feels big. With only a 112m2 footprint they’ve managed to create a three-bedroom home that feels expansive. A light-filled double-height raked ceiling adds to the wonderful sense of space.
The design philosophy of The Bungalow has been inspired by both Japanese and Scandinavian principles – The Japanese design philosophy of creating a space that influences your behaviour and way of life and the Scandinavian approach of creating a space that’s not just streamlined but also functional.
“It’s about redefining this idea that to feel spacious, we need to have a lot of actual physical space. For us that’s not true.” – Reece Stubbs, Architect and Owner
