This property has to go down as one of the most spectacular coastal stays in Victoria, if not anywhere. We were thrilled to welcome Beekeepers – Cape Liptrap into The Origins Guide Community.
The 330 sqm home is nestled along a rugged and spectacular section of Victoria’s Wilsons Promontory coastline – providing sweeping views from every angle. Located upon the largest piece of freehold coastal bush in Victoria – at 640 acres (259 hectares) this is one extraordinary property. Owner and host, Richard joked with us that when he purchased the land parcel he hadn’t realised there was a beach shack on it. I guess when you have such a large allotment of land this can happen. However, the ultimate plan for Beekeepers is to protect and maintain the land for future generations.
The home provides luxury, off-the-grid living. It generates its own electricity, harvests and stores water and treats waste through its own worm farm. The central fireplace also transmits heat through the home’s hydronic panels. Respect the home’s rhythm and it’ll take perfect care of you.
With 4 bedrooms and space for 10 guests, it’s a great home to enjoy with the extended family or a group of friends. The pool overlooking the ocean is perfect for summer. With a large living area, outdoor ocean facing deck and rumpus room there’s a space and place to suit all moods and times of the day. Our favourite spot is the two leather armchairs in the lookout tower – perfect for sunset or watching whales passing by.
This is one special home and a type of experience you don’t often come by. Spend a fews days immersing yourself in this extraordinary, natural setting.
